2002 Chevy Tahoe Reduced power

Last night, my truck's "reduced engine power" light came on. I pulled over, turned it off, then turned it back and and my "service engine soon" light came on. Any ideas on what it could be?

The first thing I would do is go to your local parts store and see if there is any code set, I do not know the history or maintenance of this vehicle so I am wondering when's the last time you change the fuel filter? It is located underneath the drivers floorboard on the frame rail.
