On an interstate drive, my low beam headlights stopped working and the high beam lights turned on by themselves. I'm taking apart the steering column because I smelt burning plastic and felt a lot of heat coming from there. How do I remove the tilt switch and the light selector switch from the steering column?

Once the column cover is off, just a couple of screws take it off.
