While I am driving and I come to a stop my truck's voltage will drop to about 10 then rise again back to 14 it does this frequently. It will still run without the battery connected. So what is the problem my battery?

Welcome, what your reading may be the charging system? Usually higher rpms means more alternator output to a certain point. You might have the codes checked, see if there is anything for the charging system?
