1999 Chevy Tahoe engine runs rough

First off when I go to start it I have to floor the gas pedal once it stats it wont hold idle? Ireplacd the plugs plugwires, cap and rotor and still the same thing the a mecanic told me it was the cataylitic converter so I replaced them both $569 and still the same thing im tired of the geussing game can you help me thanks a million . If you have that spider fuel system, I always suspect that system. They are known for problems. Poppets sticking and other problems.

Can you chek for codes and fuel pressure? I don't think I'm supposed to talk about anything, where there might be safety issues. There are other tests, but, also safety issues.
