I plan to drive my car to be repaired. 5 miles. I know for sure that my sixth cylinder sparkplug has broken off and needs replacing. Is it safe to drive slowly for 5 miles to the repair place?

Yes, but keep in mind that the fuel will still be spraying in the cylinder. Liquid does not compress. If too much gas gets into the cylinder, it can break a connecting rod - ruin the bearings - bend valves and push rods. You should be good for 5 miles, but I wouldn't go any further. Also, going slow will dump more fuel in the cylinder so try to get there quickly.
