I have the running problem resolved. We had to put a brand new distributor in it. Now it is showing a p0420 code. But I have had my cataylt converter checked and it is good. Some times it will act like it is losing power and when you make a right hand turn it makes a awful noise and you give it gas and it does not want to go. Please help me.

What kind of noise? A rattle? Could be the cat broke up insde and pieces are trapped in the exhaust pipes or muffler. Install a vaccuum gauge in an intake manifold port, increase engine rpm to 2000, if the vacuum gauge starts to drop, there is a restriction in the exhaust system.
