Just had a full tune up. Was running smooth for a couple of weeks and started to run rough. What does it mean when a 96 Chevy tahoe engine light starts blinking when you stop and stop blinking when you are driving?

A blinking engine light means that there is a trouble code pending or set in your computer. Take your tahoe to autozone or a place like that and ask them to scan your computer for a trouble code. They will do this for free. Get the code and let us know what it is ---- it will probably be something like P0300 or P0304 etc. Get the code and we can help you further.

I took it to a local shop and they told me I needed a new MAF sensor and a cat. Converter. New converter because it was sounding like a bunch of rocks in it. So I changed the converter and MAF and the the light stop blinking. It just stays on now. The truck is now loud when I am accelerating almost the same rock noise but louder. The muffler guy said I also need a muffler. Now the car hesitates when starting. It starts but when I pull off I have to floor it at first. After I get going its good. It only happens when the car is off and I start up and go. Help PLEASE
