Camshaft Question

I have a 83 suburban with a bad camshaft. I know where there is a blown engine from an 88 but the cam is still good. Both engines are v-8's is it possable to swap the cam from the 88 into the 83?

If both the engines are the same size, then the camshaft will work. Check the size of the engines. Modorator chevy 11 bruce hunt would know more about if it would work.
