Steering problem
2005 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2005 Suburban and when I put it in 4H the steering becomes very tight when I try to make a turn. The front end acts like the front wheels cannot compensate for the difference in the rotation of the wheels while going through the turn and the tires start skipping across the pavement.

The 4wd should only be used when you are on a slipery surface. If you are on pavement where the tires have good traction, that is what will happen. Also, you will cause damage to different components if the vehicle is used in 4wd on dry non slippery surfaces.

Let me know if that is when you notice it or if it is under other conditions.
