Air Conditioning problem
2005 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 45xxx miles

some 05 have them, dealer said that I dont have an in cabin air filter. I have removed the kickplate and found a "plug" of sorts, when I remove the "pluc" there is a half dollar size opening and I can see the paper honecombed large airfilter exactly where it is on other 05's there is even a youtube video of where it should be and that there is a drop down door after you remove the kick plate. My veh doesnt have the door thus making it imposible to change. I have kids with sever medical issues and I really need to change it out. I know it is there-can you help?

I've checked the manual I have available to me and I don't see any cabin filter. But depeding on when your truck was built it could be an early 2005 or late2005 which would take you to two different years.I've checked all three years and if there is one it is not servicable. Normally cabin filters are fairly large and the way to get them was to lift the plastic on the right side of thevent in front of the windshield. This will be CLEARLY visible. I worked in engineering for many years building those specific vehicles and i'm sure they didn't put them in those. The thing you see may be the evaporator itself.
