when I crank the suburban i hear a clicking noise in the dash, the blower is blowing out of the front dash vents after 1 to 2 minutes it stops clicking and starts to blow out of the defrost vents above the dash only! does anyone know what part I need to replace to fix this issue? the rear air works as intended but the front air out of the dash keeps going to the upper defrost mode. I need help trouble shooting this issue, I have five kids that my wife has to transport for various activities and don't have the money to go to a chevy dealer to find out what needs to be done. Please help if you know what I need to buy or do!!

Sounds like the mode door actuator is acting up.It is an electric motor that controls which mode (vents) are used.It should be mounted on the HVAC box under the dash, on the drivers side of the box.If you remove the covers and go under the dash when you turn the key on you will be able to feel it clicking, which usually means it is up against its stop or it has stripped internally.Try unplugging it first to be sure the noise goes away
