2002 Chevy Suburban Intermediate steering shaft

Would like instructions to replace the intermediate steering shaft.

1) Secure the steering wheel in place with the wheel straight ahead, using a bungee cord so it will not rotate freely. 2) In the foot well by the pedals remove one 15mm? bolt to the column.

Push the shaft forward to disengage.

Finally remove the 15mm bolt under the hood to the opposite end of the shaft.

The nut for this bolt is normally oblong in shape and will not unthread as easy as others. To install, reverse procedure. Good luck,
