Noises problem
2001 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have an 01 Surburban that is making a "loud clicking" sound (it sounds as if I have a baseball card in the spokes of my bike wheel) whenever I have the A/C on. Today, I sprayed WD40 on each of the pulleys and when my wife cranked it up, it made a squeling sound when you press the gas pedal. I have already replaced the tension pulley, the A/C belt and pulley, but I am still receiving the noise. What am I missing!

Thanks

Can you tell where the sound is coming from? My first thought is maybe the ac blower motor is having a problem?

I know that it is coming from the front of the engine and it seems as if it is coming from the fan area

The fan isn't hitting anything? Because my hearing isn't any good, sometimes to locate where a sound is coming from, I use a long shank screwdriver, place the tip on waterpump--alternator--ac compressor, whatever, place the other end of the screwdriver shank behind my ear, up against my head, it magnifies the sound for me and I can usually tell where the sound is coming from. You have to be careful not to get the screwdriver or anything caught in a pulley or belt.
