I started my burb this afternoon and low and behold my check engine light came on. Scanned it and got a P1345 code which says my Cam sensor and crank sensor dont match up. Funny thing is it seemed to miss a little from 50 to 60 mph so I checked everything and it seemed my cam sensor wasnt reading anymore. So I replaced and got a little power back and the miss is there from about 60 to 70 mph now but after driving it about 15 miles not really there at all but after clearing the CEL it came back on. I rebuilt this motor out of the truck in may of 2009. The timing chain is a heavy duty metal chain not the nylon junk and the timing has been fine since I dropped the motor back in last year. Anyone have any ideas? I am stumped as to why this light is on still. It starts very easy and idles smooth and even when I felt the miss it was barely noticeable at the 50 - 60 mph. So now I am stumped!

More than likely your distributor gear is worn, napa does have this part seperate from the dist, however you must pull the distibutor to replace, and if your not capable of reading camshaft variation with your scan tool you will not be able to reset prper timing after replacement. These gears have wear problems and a 1345 is usually the cause of a worn distibutor gear

I had already replaced the worn gear and it was so worn it must have jumped a tooth before I pulled the distributor to R&R the gear and upon reinstalling the distributor it ran the same so I just pulled everything back apart and started from the beginning TDC and problem solved. Just had to go to a local shop to borrow their MODIS scanner and fine tune the timing. Now no code and Retard is at 0. Thank you for your time.
