The service engine soon light on my 95 Suburban stays on all the time. I have tried to pull codes from it by shorting the A & B terminals in the ALDL connector, but it will not flash the codes, the light just stays on. The idle is low and rough, there is a strong fuel smell under the hood, and the transmission will not up or downshift automatically. I can shift up or down with the lever. Is this maybe a bad ECM?

The PCM ground is good, the ground terminal in the ALDL is also good. It is a 12 pin socket.

Apreciate the help!
