2000 Chevy Silverado fan speeds

My heating-ac fan has five speeds but only 3, 4, 5 currently work. I would like to know the likely cause of this and is this an easy repair?

If it's the usually suspect, yes, look on the heater plenum, on the passenfger side under the dash, find the resistor, this is the part that plugs into the fan itself, replace that and let me know how you do.
