1999 Chevy Silverado gear shifting?

When I start up and put in drive, or from a stop, it takes a few seconds to get up to speed with putting good bit of pressure on the accelerator, but after I get going it runs fine. Any suggestions?

Hello moy cracka! The first thing we need to do is scan for trouble codes. Does the SES light ever illuminate?

Go to an Advance Auto Parts Store or any for that matter, and ask for a code retrieve. The get back to me and we'll get a plan together. It is okay to drive but lets get with the program.
