Hey I was sondering if a 5.3L v8 vortec block will fit in a 4.8L vortec motor. Also what all can I do to make it gain more horsepower other buying exspensive parts? I was thinking like getting new spark plugs and things like that

Stick with the factoy engine size, will only cause more troubles to chase, as far as power goes start with a k and n cold air kit, should be around 250$ give or take a few, other than that make sure your spark plugs are within specs and or replace, good luck
