I have all pwr options in this truck (objects in question are pwr locks, pwr windows &pwr mirriors) Just bought this truck and now I've discovered it's a little messed up. The door lock switch on driver's side unlocks only pass. Side door. The drivers side window switches run both windows but pass. Switches are both useless.(Lock & window) Pwr mirriors are completely lifeless but they do work if 12 volts is applied directly and so does the drivers side pwr lock motor. The horn also did not work and discovered that the wire had been cut intentionally. When reconnected it was on constantly. I removed the switch panel from the drivers side door & discovered someone had spliced into the ground wires of the switch & ground them to the door, when I disconnected the wire ground to the door the horn stopped but now I can power up the radio & sound the horn by holding the pwr window switches in any direction. Interior, cargo, ¢er mounted brake light also not working. Looking under the dash(drivers side)I found 3 unused plugs:2 identical White 10 pin male plugs with same wire coding in each one & 1 Blue 8 pin female with only 4 wires. I asked the local dealership about the possibility of a remote door lock module being missing but the only module they could find required a 16 pin connector (plug). I fooled around with the plugs under the dash using jumper wires to hook the 2 white plugs together in accordance to wire colours & got the interior & cargo lights to work as well as the pwr mirrors but not the door locks & pwr windows in drivers side door. Pass. Side worked but only with switches in drivers door. Pass side switches sounded the horn. I have raided the truck wrecking yards but have yet to find a module of sorts that would fit the plugs in My truck. I haven't even found a truck with these plugs. I'm certain they are factory plugs. I had the dash completely dismantled to try & trace the wires & they run with the factory harness of the truck. If you think it is a module of sorts that is missing I would appreciate if you could find me the part number. Thanks in advance. Fustrated, Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for the donation.

I need to know the exact model of your vehicle to be able to get the correct data and diagnostics as there are many variants. Can you please let me know the model, eg K1500, G1500 etc.

The activating of the horn and radio seems to ppoit to a wiring shorting somewhere where power supply to the horn and radio are concerned.

Let me know the model and I will try to assist in diagnosing the problem.
