S-10 wont shift into over drive

Hello I got a 94 s10 sonoma 174k miles and well she will shift ok untill it hits the gear before over drive then it wont shift into over drive and thats makeing my truck work 2x hard and I kinda need this truck I was wondering wut could be the cause of that I am thankful for any help

Smell the tranny fluid and if it smells burnt you burnt the overdrive clutch out

Have the ecu checked out.
Same thing happend on my truck, seemed to work wheen cold, but as soon as it warmed up it would not shift in to od, I replaced this, that. Still nothing got tired of it, took it to the dealer. They replaced the ecu all is fine
