2002 Chevy S-10 windshield wipers

My windshield wipers work. Both low and high. The only problem is the driver side wiper does not want to catch and rotate. It will just try to move and twitch in one spot. And when I looked at it. It moved pretty freeley. Is there anyway to tighten it. Or fix it?

You'll have to pull the vent area in front of the windshield. That means the wipers come off to get that off. Thencheck your linkage and transmission( the thing the wiper blade assy hooks up to) You may have a clip broken off or commonly the transmission linkage is broken. If youlive in a state where you get ice/and snow clean the windshield by hand with a brush or scraper, that is the usual cause for breaking the linkage/clips.
