DTC P0128 : Engine Coolant Temperature Exceeds Lenght of Time To Reach Preset Temperature

Check coolant level, top off if needed and reset code. If coolant is full, suspect faulty engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor or bad wiring to sensor.

This codes stands for "coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature". It is set when the desired engine operating temperature is not reached in a sufficient amount of time. The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the engine coolant temperature (ECT) to determine when this has occurred. Common causes for this code include incorrect coolant level, a failed ECT or a stuck thermostat. For more information on this code.
