I have a 2000 s10 2.2L. I was away from home one day and tried to start my truck for the drive back. I tried to turn it over and it acted like I didn't engage the starter long enough, flooded, and would not start. I let it sit for a couple hours and tried to start it again. It started right up and then I drove it two hours back home. Got up the next day and tried to start it. It acted like it was going to start for half a second and then all it would do was crank. I towed it back to my mechanic and he started trouble shooting the problem. All fuses checked out good but the fuel pump was not getting power. He talked about changing the control module but was hesitant since he couldn't rule out the fuel pump. Any help would be appreciated.

Theres a red wire on (i believe the drivers firewall). Its a heavy gauge wire. Jump this wire from the positve battery terminal with a jump lead. This will bypass the computer.
Dont forget to check the fuel pump relay and fuel/oil pump pressure switch before condemning the computer.
