1995 Chevy S-10 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 145000 miles

vehicle starts fine when engine is cold, but there appears to be a power drain after engine is at operating temp, making restart difficult (tho' voltmeter check of battery shows more than adequate voltage)

What is the reading across the battery posts, with everything turned off? What is the reading, with the engine running? The reading should be higher with the engine running. Are you saying it is a slow crank on restart? I think some of the national brand autostores will check batteries free of charge. Are the cables clean on both ends?
