I changed the firing order to the fring order you have the manual shows different also now when I try to start it it keeps acting like it wants to fire but dont also the brand new egr valve puffs out smoke please help me I need this truck

When you changed the firing order did you pull and reset the distributor? The firing order was probably not correct because the distributor was not put in correctly. So what you need to do is bring the truck up to TDC with the crank pulley on TDC and the number cylinder to the top and see where the rotor points is it at number one cylinder?

No I never reset the disturber also when I changed the firing order it staet ed to show signs of puffing smoke through the egr valve is there anyway ine the mechanic can give me a call and figure this out 480-

You have one of two options here put the firing order back or follow my previous instructions to make sure the timing marks all line up.
