When I turn on the lights all my gauges quit reading.
what could cause this

Hello, are you talking gage illumination or the gages give no reading?

If the gages give no reading, I'd check the voltage at the ign/gage fuse 20 amp. The circuit goes hot when you turn on the key. Check it with the lites on and off.
