How do I test for a blown head gasket? PLEASE HELP!

My 93 s-10 blazer 4.3 fuel injected W vin # with 273,000 miles is acting terribly and I need to find out how I can test for a blown head gasket at home! Someone please help!

I dont know if this will help at all but ive know of a few vehicles to blow a head gasket or two. The way I always checked was either by the dipstick ( oil was usually foamy and milky), or just by the oil cap. It was on a 1990 lemans 4 banger, but the oil cap always had milky oil on it. I dont know if yours would be quite that bad yet, but that's just one way to tell.
