High idle on my Monte

I have a 1996 Monte Carlo LS. It has a high idle first start in the morning. But if I turn the car off and restart it goes to where it needs to be. I did replace the IACV, but I wonder if I have not reset it correctly. I have cleaned everything on the throttle body and I have checked for vacuum leaks. I also did all of this with battery disconnected to try to keep from messing up sensors and such. Any suggestions? Thanx for the time.

Do you mean the air intake sensor? Cuz I have done the coolant sensor. I have also heard of this problem with others and they said mabe a vacuum leak from some hose that comes out of the firewall to the map sensor? Dunno but it is strange that I only have this prob when car is not warmed up and if I shut the car off and turn it right back on the RPMs are ok. Any more suggestions?
