My Metro has 145000 Mi. In the past 2 months I have been experiencing temporary loss of power driving on the hwy or streets. Sometimes it just dies
and then I can restart it and sometimes I can't. We
have already replaced the fuel pump, coil, Ignition module, Temperature sensor and it still has not taking care of this problem. This morning I went to start it and it starts fine. Runs like a champ when idling or maybe for a week or two. Could it be a computer problem.

Thanks, Frank

When it dies, does it feel like it is running out of fuel or just signs off? Did you also replace the fuel pump relay?

It acts like its running out of fuel, kind of surges up then down. When I made it of the off ramp then it died. At first it would crank and not start but I waited a few minutes then it started. I proceeded homeward and it did this 3 times and finally would not restart yesterday but this morning it started up just fine. To my knowledge I don't believe we replaced the fuel pump relay switch.

I would probably start ther, it is inexpensive and when the pumps get old they tend to draw more amps, which takes a toll on the relay
