I have a 1985 Winnebago Chieftain with a chevy 454. When cold it idles very rough and dies unless I give it gas. The choke is closed full when cold and as it warms up the choke opens and it runs perfect, passes smog with flying colors. I have tried to open the choke flap a bit when cold but that makes it worse. Is there a screw to control the amount of throttle applied when the choke is on full?

Try adjusting the initial choke opening and fast idle cam

I can not find the fast idle cam, with my eyes or my fingers. From what I have read, it should be below and just forward of the electric choke. I can feel the throttle move on that side when I move the throttle on the left side but I can not find a cam or screw.

Lifting the choke plate does not help the idle so far.
