My 2005 optra ls has a problem with the alarm system. The alarm keeps going off randomly without any reason. I have noted that it does it more often on windy days, but even when there is no wind it will sound. Is there a way to fix this myself, or disable the alarm? I have not found a specific fuse for the alarm, so just wondering what I can do.

Maybe a hood switch problems. The hood sensor is the only sensor not tied into the 'door ajar' light and tied directly into the anti-theft system.

The optra anti-theft wiring diagram is attached

I wish it could help you.

Thanks, I built up under the hood with some mettle and cold weld; finished it with some black rust paint to match the rest of the underhood. It's been two days and the alarm hasn't sounded.
