1976 Chevy Nova rear gears

I need to replace the ring and pinion in a 76 nova does any 10bolt 8.5in ring and pinion fit the car or is it specific for that model I am trying to find a used one and dont know what to look in to find one that fits

Oh yes! A nova! Yes any 8.5 inch chevy ring and pinion will work. I suggest putting a new ring and pinion kit. Find a kit that has the pinion and axle bearings in it. The failure of these bearings probably caused the problem with your ring and pinion in the first place. You can click on auto parts on this site and find what you need. Let me know how you make out

BTW--Awsome car. Please take care of it--they don't make them like that anymore.
