I was told recently that I had a small head gasket leak that I should not be concerned about, but it could possibly need replacing in the future, but should not pose a problem now. This answer was given to me by a certified GM Goodwrench facility located at a car dealership that I have taken my vehicle to before. I am concerned about it and do not have the money to fix a full-on head gasket replacement costing in the neighborhood of $1000. I have to drive this vehicle to Texas in June and am not going to be able to pay out $1000 to fix this small leak. Would using a stop leak product be useful in this situation, as it does not require repair at this time and what is the most efficient way to flush the cooling system before adding the stop leak to the system. Any and all answers would be appreciated.
