Hello it sounds like your alignment is way off or you have a bent tie rod.

A steering wheel a little off center may be an alignment. A steering wheel turned almost 90 degrees is a bent component. In these cases several components.

If you are a little auto savvy, inspect the tie rods for damage by comparing the left to right side. They should be straight. These are the easiest to bend.

Also inspect the control are for damage. It may be easier to have a shop inspect it for $20 and give you a full estimate of the parts. Most are easy to install, but an alignment will be required regardless.

In a worst case the frame may also be bent and would then require extensive work.

Good luck,
