AC clutch not engaging

My A/C and my radiator cooling fans quit working at about the same time. The control relays are not getting turned on by the PCM. If I provide the ground to the relay coils that the PCM usually provides both systems will run. Could there be a common ground splice for the PCM and where is it at, OR is the PCM just bad?

PS I do have trouble codes set for cooling fan control circuit malfunction and air conditioning relay control circuit

Hello,

This sounds like the AC is low on refrigerant or you have a bad low pressure switch which will make the fans not run as well. Here is a video that can help see if the system is full.

If its full here is the location of the low pressure switch which you can connect the wires together to see if the system comes on. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers

I have a 2000 Malibu and I found the low pressure switch for it to be bad thanks to this guide. Cost me $42.00 for the sensor and the system works great once again! I love this site.
