1998 Chevy Malibu ENGINE MISFIRES

I HAVE A REALLY BAD MISFIRE IVE TAKEN IT TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CONTROL MODULE WE CHANGED THAT AND 5 MONTHS LATER IT CAME BACK AND NOW ITS WORSE I DID A SPARK CHECK IT WAS OK I PUT A NEW CONTROL MODULE ON IT AND NOTHING CHANGED. I CHECKED THE COILS AND BOTH CAME OUT FINE. I CHANGED THE PLUGS AND STILL NOT RIGHT IT WILL START BUT IT JUMPS REALLY BAD AND MISSES CANNOT GIVE IT GAS OR IT WILL BACK FIRE AND CUT OUT.

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:

1. Defective spark plug
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Manifold absolute pressure sensor
