Okay, '98 Malibu. 2.4L automatic. Car seems fine at an idle when in PARK or in NEUTRAL, but when in drive it shakes a bit and act like it might die, but doesn't die. It stutters and hesitates upon take off. The hesitation and stutters continues at lower RPMS, but it seems that if I hit the gas hard a few time it like it clears out and gets a sudden burst of speed. Check engine light is NOT on. Car acted strange and kind of had similar symptoms, but WAY WORSE BEFORE and I replaced coils, spark plugs, fuel filter and ECM. After replacing ECM before everything seemed fine. Not sure its even the same problem because before I could even get the car to do 30 it ran so bad. Any ideas?

You may wanna check fuel pressure also to see what that is doing

Hi a have the same car and have the same problem we changed the fuel pressure reg. And it did not help we also changed upper and lower o2 censors and the converter and coil housing also changed fuel filter but still have same problem.
