No crqnk no start, correct. When you attempt to start vehicle leave the key in the run position and watch the theft light on dash, it should come on then go out after a few seconds. If it stays on flashing then we have a theft problem. Check back with us. If it is a theft problem we can walk you through it.

I just researched your theft system. Your problem is definately the theft system. There are 2 possibilitys for your problem, a bad ignition key or a bad ignition cylinder. Do you have another key? If so try a different key. If you dont have another key, you can bring your key to your chevrolet dealer and they have a tool called a interrogator. They can insert your key into the interrogator to see if it is good. Ther should be no charge for this. Go to the parts department. If the key checks out good you probably have a bad ignition cylinder. There are 2 tiny wires that go up the steering column to the ignition cylinder and over time from repeated on and off of the ignition these tiny wires will break causing no communication from key. This is a very common problem for this ignition system. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

I put the key in tell the light went off so it reads the key but then I try to start it again and nothing the light comes back on. Do you think it is the ignition cylinder. And is that the part where the key goes. And how can you check it
