The battery light comes on when driving. But only for a few seconds. It has come on once when parked. For about a minute. I was wondering if it was a sign for a bad alternator? Or a bad connection?

If the vehicle only has a battery lite and no voltmeter on the dash. You can get a hand-held dmm from the discount autostores. They're not very expensive, better than nothing, you can check the charging system. Some of the national brand autostores will check your charging system and battery for free. They may need to test when the lite is on.

Yes, it could be any number of things that caused the lite to come on. They can check for codes, also.
