2000 Chevy Impala Car shakes on front I had the front left

My car shakes on front I had the front left tire re-balance and it was Ok for a day but is worst today. The tire guy said it was the motor mounts, But after reading some of you guys discussions it may not be. So I wander whats the mystery problem /not the motor mounts / or the CV boots /

Under what conditions does it shake? Braking? Over 35-40 under way? Highway speed? With 150,000 mile, has any front end work been done? Struts? And finally a shifted belt in a tire can do it as well, what kind of shape are the tires in? Yes engine and transmission mount can cause problems too.
