Can't get quick release on feul filter to release, don't know if i'm doing it right. It looks like you just pinch the plastic sleeve and you pull the metal collar off, but it wont come off.

Does your filter look like the above picture? Did you squeeze the ears together? Sometimes I use a pair of needle-nose pliers to squeeze the ears and get the fuel line loose. It's probably best to use the proper tool. I call those fittings quick connect, If I ever get them loose, they go back together pretty quick.
