1996 Chevy Impala Car won't shift out of park

My car is a Impala SS with an automatic on the floor, I have tried every senario possible and I can't get it out of park. I have checked the BTSI in accordance with the maunal and it seems to be working. Is their a manual over ride of some sort? Or can you advise at what could possibly be wrong?

Could be the shift lock control solenoid-Have the shift interlock control system checked out-

Replace the Shift Interlock Solenoid ACDelco # 12538778. My 1996 has the floor shift and the dealer showed only the column shift. This part was listed for both the Firebird and Camaro. Worked! Perfect fit!
