Electrical problem
1976 Chevy Custom Deluxe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1976 Chevy pick-up truck. I have a brand you battery, and the alternator is about 3 to 4 years old. If I let the truck sit for about 2 days, then I have to jump it off with another vehicle. Once I jump it off then I can keep cranking it up, so I figure that the alternator is working properly. Do you think that it could be the battery wires or the battery terminals. They are about 4 to 5 years old. How can I test the battery wires. What is the specification for battery wires and terminal. What do you think?

Get the battery and alternator load tested if okay-Do below

Sounds like you have a battery drain due to a short circuit in the electrical system.
