Harmonic balencer removal?

I have a 1994 LT-1 corvette auto trans with 94,000 miles, heres my question I am trying to remove the harmonic balencer { vibration dampener} theres not much room, do I need to move the steering rack first? Or try to raise the motor? Thanks for any help.

You can use a long breaker bar with the correct socket and wedge it determine the direction and crank it over it'll break loose.

Harmonic balencer removal? That was your Q-you have to raise the engine to get clearance
