2008 Chevy Cobalt no power steering

I had driven a few miles, then made a left turn, was very hard to turn steering wheel. Then I noticed on dash where info is it just said"power steering" pulled over put in park waited a few minutes then pulled away, its hard to turn but easier, whats the cause?

Have the power steering control module scanned for codes, most common cause is the steering column, there is normally an internal motor problem. Post back with any other questions.
