Problems after jump starting another car

After jumping another car my car's transmission will not shift into third gear. And the speedometer does not work either

The ground wire from pcm (the aluminum part closest to the fuse box not the larger pcm case) to a screw or nut perces to bare metal its amazingly easy fix!

Jumped battery off. Now check engine light is on and transmission is stuck in 1st gear. Thanks.

If the check engine light is on, you need to have it scanned to see what trouble code is stored in the computer. Most nationally recognized parts stores will do it for free. Chances are there is a problem with the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). Why it happened when you jumped it is hard to tell. Regardless, have the computer scanned for codes and it should identify where the problem is.
