1996 Chevy Cobalt Codes 0300, 0340 & 0341

My check engine light was on so I had it diagnosed and came back with the above codes. The dealer said they need to check more to figure out what is actually wrong. Does that sound right? They're saying a problem with the compression so far. Thanks for any help.

Could be a timing problem that is affecting the compression. Maybe a bad timing chain tensioner causing the chain to loosen up.
