Trying to remove and install new wiper motor on my 1998 chevy 1 ton crew cab. I believe it is built on a suburban classy. I can't get the cowling off! I have removed the screws on both ends but there seems to be two tabs of some sort still holding it down and I can't figure out how to make them release. I know it can't be that difficult because windshield installers do it several times a day. Thanks for any suggestions or instructions, Nick

Hello,

In order to remove the cowl you will have to remove the wiper arms.
And sometimes you will just have to give it a good pull as sometimes the clips can be stubborn.
Replacing the wiper motor can be done using simple hand tools. Should take about an hour, depending on your comfort level.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
