I replaced my brake stop switch but I can't see good enough to tell what holds it I n place it slides down onto a plastic braket on the switc h itself but it still won't stay in place and work right. If I drop the steering collum down will it give me better access to it.
Do I need to buy some kind of keeper mechanism.

I just installed one in my truck and the switch snaps onto the brake rod and rests there, also there is a metal clip that holds the brake rod to the brake pedal.
