I have a 1988 Chevy Celebrity with a 2.8lL engine with 96,000 miles and an automatic trans with overdrive.
It up-shifts fine, but when slowing down it hits hard into first gear at around ten miles per hr.
And when I shift into reverse it also hits hard into reverse. What could be the cause?
The fluid level is correct but never has been changed.
